The excitement is palpable as the full cast for Celebrity Bear Hunt is unveiled, with host Holly Willoughby remarking: “I don’t think they knew what they were signing up for.”
Freshly released first look images and a gripping trailer reveal celebrities gasping for air at sea, enduring abductions by Bear Grylls, and facing challenges that even Spice Girl Mel B describes as “terrifying”.
The series promises to be a hybrid of I’m A Celebrity with a dash of Channel 4’s The Island with Bear Grylls.
Holly further teases: “The ultimate survival challenge, twelve celebrities are in the Costa Rican jungle going head-to-head with the legendary Bear Grylls.”
The star-studded lineup includes former athletes Danny Cipriani and Boris Becker, alongside Spice Girl Mel B and presenter Steph McGovern, reports .

Boris Becker boldly states: “I survived prison. I wanna compare that to the wild. It’s about overcoming and not falling down.”
Strictly lead judge Shirley Ballas is set to dance her way through the Costa Rican wilderness, while Lottie Moss, Kate Moss’s half-sister, swaps the catwalk for the lookout for wildcats.
Preview shots show Mel B cautiously navigating a river and Boris Becker sporting a headband ready for action. While all celebs are kitted out in combat gear, one notable figure still appears to be dressed for a holiday.
Holly Willoughby, dazzling in a floral ensemble and exuding ease, presents the thrilling new contest that catapults a band of unexpected celebrities into the Central American wilderness to become potential quarry for the formidable Bear Grylls.
The show’s creators reveal that Grylls is convinced everyone has an inner action star, including famous faces, who we’ll now observe as they endeavour to endure his rigorous challenges.
The adventurer remarks: “I have done many wild things in my life but I have never hunted celebrities. The celebrities won’t come out of this the same.”

Failure to meet the mark means facing the feared Bear Hunt, a severe test of evasion where Bear himself pursues the underperforming celebs. Capture results in elimination from the competition.
