Ontario Jewish business vandalized in attack that caused ‘significant damage’

Photos show antisemitic graffiti spray-painted on the walls of La Briut, a kosher foods caterer in Markham, Ontario

York Regional Police say that shortly before 3 a.m., two suspects broke into a commercial unit in Markham, between Yonge Street and Doncaster Avenue, north of Toronto.

“The suspects vandalized the property causing significant damage, and left anti-Semitic graffiti on the property,” police said in a news release.

The vandalized business has been identified as La Briut, a kosher foods caterer.

Black-and-white photos released by police show two suspects, their faces covered by masks, using spray paint in the building.

Photos posted to social media by an X account, “Unapologetically Zionist,” shows the graffiti, which says “Free Gaza,” “Fuk Jews” and “Fuc Jews.”
