‘s former Suits star Wendell Pierce has made a light-hearted joke about her in his new show.
The 60-year-old – who played Meghan’s father in the popular US drama – has now landed a standout role as Captain Charles Wallace Wagner in CBS police drama Elsbeth.
Meghan, who married into the Royal Family in May 2018, portrayed Rachel Zane on Suits between 2011 and 2018.
In an upcoming episode of his new show, which will air on January 30, Wagner is seen instructing Elsbeth to look into a homicide.
In a nod to his former co-star, his character said: “In the meantime, I need you on a case. A young man, Cole Campbell, was found deceased on the highway. His car ran off the road. The last place he was seeing was some fancy spa where celebrities and the royals go to.”

He then jokes: “The global press was already trying to frame , and she wasn’t even there!”
Wendell’s comments come after Meghan made the decision to postpone the launch of her new series, With Love, Meghan.
The eight-part-show, which was set to air on Wednesday, has now been postponed until March 4.
The former actress has since released a statement regarding the decision to postpone the launch. Her statement read: “I’m thankful to my partners at for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California.”

The decision has been met with major support for Meghan, with many fans .
Taking to X, one fan commented: “She has a heart of gold! We’ll be sat until March 4th and respect the Duchess’ request! Please continue to say a prayer for California!”
A second commented: “This is why I will always defend Meghan [Markle] and [Prince] Harry. Their kindness, compassion and always trying to help those in need.”
