Succession’s Sarah Snook in season four playing Shiv Roy
The luxury mansion featured in the hit HBO series, Succession, has reportedly burned down during the LA wildfires. The property, which is estimated to be worth $125 million (£103 million), was a notable filming location for the series in 2023.
Since last Tuesday, wildfires have been sweeping southern California and forced over 100,000 to evacuate their homes. The Pacific Palisades, an affluent area of Los Angeles, has seen a fire spread more than 2,900 acres as firefighters struggle to contain the flames.
The fires ravaging LA have now spread to Hills, which has resulted in a number of celebrities losing their homes and filming locations completely destroyed.
The mansion seen in Succession is one of the many properties that had not survived the inferno. Featured in the fourth and final season, it was reportedly bought for USD $83 million by Luminar Technologies chief executive Austin Russell in 2021.
Following the season three finale, the mansion was used by the three Roy siblings – Shiv, Roman and Kendall – as they came together to go up against their father, Logan Roy (Brian Cox).

Located in the Santa Monica Mountains, the mansion featured 18 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, multiple pools and a 20-seat movie theatre. It was built just four years ago and was labelled as an ‘avant-garde masterpiece that transcends conventional luxury’.
Celebrities have lost their residences include Billy Crystal, Anthony Hopkins, Paris Hilton, John Goodman, Adam Brody, Diane Warren, Cary Elwes, James Woods, Eugene Levy and Anna Faris.
Take That singer Mark Owen was forced to evacuate his LA mansion after waking to helicopters, “thick black smoke” and howling winds.
The Santa Monica Mountains has been severely affected by the wildfires
However, there are a number of celebrities whose homes are still standing. Pacific Palisades home is among a small clutch of houses which hasn’t been affected.
The ‘Forrest Gump’ star, 68, bought his palatial $26 million residence with his fellow actor wife Rita Wilson back in 2010, and luckily it remains undamaged.
Other celebrities whose homes have not been affected include Ben Affleck, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Chris Pratt, , Rebel Wilson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Brady, Bill Hader and Dan Aykroyd.
