Full list of celebs left homeless after LA fires as they hole up in £800 a night hotel

Hollywood’s elite are racing to find refuge in hotels which have cost thousands of pounds per night. Stars from Jamie Lee Curtis to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are among dozens of celebrities forced to evacuate.

The death toll of the has reached 24, as heroic firefighters still battle hellish conditions on the front lines of at least five different fires.

Affluent Los Angeles neighbourhoods have been reduced to rubble and ash as the wildfires tore through homes and businesses.

The homes of Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton, Anthony Hopkins, Tina Knowles, John Goodman, Candy Spelling, Milo Ventimiglia, and Miles Teller are among those destroyed, while others have an agonising wait to see what they can salvage from the disaster.

Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis is among those seen entering the grounds of the Beverly Hills Hotel, first opened in 1912, and otherwise known as “The Pink Palace”.

She was seen entering the grounds of the $1,000 (£824) per night with her dog, dog bags, baskets and luggage.

The on-screen star has pledged $1million (£811,000) to help those stricken by the blazes – although her own Pacific Palisades property is believed to be intact.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and her husband Freddie Prince Jr were among those reportedly seeking refuge for beds at the Hotel Bel-Air, where luxury rooms cost up to £15,000 a night.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer star, 47, and her actor beau, 48, were spotted outside the establishment.

The actress, who owns a colonial-style property in the Mandeville Canyon neighbourhood close to the ­Palisades, wrote on social media: “City of LA you want everyone to evacuate yet you have complete gridlock and not one traffic cop on the roads helping.”

Other stars who clamoured to get rooms included rocker Tommy Lee, 62, and wife Brittany Furlan, 38.

Meanwhile, model Chrissy Teigen, 39, and husband John Legend are among the stars, who have evacuated their property.

They vacated their $17.5million Beverly Hills home with the couple’s four children and pets, shared clips on featuring bearded lizard Sebastian.

Actor Dennis Quaid, 70, sought sanctuary at the Hotel Bel-Air after the fires reached within 100 yards of his property in the badly-ravaged Pacific Palisades neighbourhood.

He was joined there by his wife Laura Savoie, 34, and their pet dog Peaches.

Dennis said: “I’ve been through several fires here in California in my 45 years in and around here, and this is the worst one bar none. It came up so suddenly.’

He told NBC he counted himself “lucky” because ‘so many friends’ had suffered worse, saying: “My agent, he lost both of his houses, and another good friend over in the Palisades, he just moved into a house and he was renting the other one and he lost both of ’em.

“We’re fighting as hard as we can to save our city – gosh, I never thought I’d say that.”

Around 150,000 residents have been ordered to evacuate as powerful 80mph winds threatened to fan the fires further afield yesterday.
