Crispy French fries are the perfect accompaniment to many meals
In the video, she demonstrated the , taking one unpeeled potato and cutting it into batons.
Russet, Maris Piper or King Edward potatoes are often recommended as the best for making homemade French fries due to their high starch and low moisture content, which allow them to crisp up better.
Once chopped, place the raw fries into a bowl filled with iced water and let them sit for 15 minutes. This helps make the fries nice and crispy.
Next, drain the fries and add one teaspoon of oil along with your choice of seasonings (the video’s creator used salt and paprika) and then place them in the air fryer to cook for 15 to 20 minutes at 200°C/400°F.
You will then have perfectly crisp chips ready to enjoy for less than 150 calories per serving, according to the video’s creator.
