But it can sometimes take days for them to fully dry out before you can put them away – and they take up a lot of space too, which is never ideal.
Plus, it’s a well-known fact that damp and are more likely to appear if there’s excess moisture within your home, and drying laundry inside is a huge culprit.
However, one expert on social media says you can slash the drying time by using one simple trick, and people agree that it really does work.

, also known as the Queen of Clean, says that taking one extra step while your laundry is in the washing machine can speed up the time it takes for your things to dry.
She recently made a video explaining how it works – which has racked up more than 27k views.
In the short clip, she revealed that all it takes to slash your drying time is an extra spin cycle – something that often takes less than 10 minutes to do.

She said: “Don’t forget guys, at this time of year when you’ve finished washing your towels and bedding, make sure you leave it in, turn your dial and give it an extra spin.
“It’s only going to take 10 minutes, but it’s going to make a massive difference to your drying time.”
