Bush is back, baby, bringing their burning ’90s power angst to Rogers Place on April 26.

The multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band (formerly known as BushX in Canada until they legally wrestled the X off) formed in London in 1992, enjoying considerably more success in North America than back home in England on the back of hits like Glycerine, Comedown, Machinehead and the very, very sad Swallowed.

Following the heights of 1996’s Razorblade Suitcase, they broke up in 2002, but returned in 2010, reliably releasing albums since.

This tour celebrates all this under the name Loaded: The Greatest Hits Tour.

Singer Gavin Rossdale has been with the band since Day 1, guitarist Chris Traynor playing lead guitar since 2001, also playing in Helmet, live with Blur and working with Rossdale on his solo mission.

“This summer we had a brilliant show in Toronto,” noted Rossdale in a press release announcing the show, “and we had to come back and play everywhere in Canada.”

California rock outfit Rival Sons and high-flying Nine Inch Nails offshoot Filter will open up the proceedings.

They play Calgary the night before, and Saskatoon Monday afterwards if you can’t get enough.

“We can’t wait to see you,” said Rossdale. “It’s been too long.”
