Thanks to its stunning beaches, with brightly coloured beach huts and world-class accommodation options, Scarborough has a lot to offer tourists and locals alike.

Scarborough is a resort town on England’s North Sea coast and is the perfect location for a seaside getaway to remember.

A visit to this spot offers many beautiful beaches here and you’ll be met with a mixture of soft sand and tidal hard sand with rock pools scattered throughout.

The region boasts of a fascinating history and first became popular roughly 400 years ago with staycationers impressed with all its glory in the mid 1600s.

Castle is one of North Yorkshire’s finest historic sites with this 11th century monument dominating the beach’s backdrop.

It’s the one of many historical treasures found here including Scarborough Harbour and St Mary’s Church which dates back to 1150.

At its core, Scarborough provides a booming and lively town centre with world-class attractions to appeal to all.

Scarborough’s Sealife and Almpare waterpark will no doubt be a hit amongst the children with entertainment venues such as the Stephen Joseph Theatre, The Spa and Scarborough Open Air Theatre and museums like The Rotunda to keep you busy.

Scarborough also has a host of other attractions and has been described as the ideal spot for exploring thanks to its close proximity to Dalby.

Visit Scarborough has described the region as having some of “the best beaches in the country” including the Blue Flag North Bay Beach.

Over in North Bay there’s an array of beach huts on display which has earned the region comparisons to Australian beaches.

It would be near impossible to be bored in a place like Scarborough thanks to its amusements, sandy beaches, boat trips and even a ride on the oldest funicular cliff railway in Britain.

One review on TripAdvisor wrote of Scarborough: “Beautiful beach, to sit, swim, relax and has the most stunning sunsets which is a must to just sit and watch and soak up.”

Another added: “The afternoons, the beach has kite surfers and surfers alike along the beach which is also lovely to see. I also love the seating areas next to the beach and the playground, skatepark and rock climbing wall for kids.”
