With millions of viewers turning in to see the latest drama unfold in Walford, Hotton and Weatherfield every day, it is no surprise that a lucky few rake in some serious money after becoming fan favourites over the years.
But that doesn’t mean they don’t face their own drama off camera, as and appear to be suffering a cast crisis, with multiple exits confirmed from both soaps.

The actor is said to have a net worth of £2.8million, largely thanks to his hefty pay packet, although he has also had stints in Kevin & Perry Go Large, pantomime roles, and even hosted his own show Britain’s Hardest.

Claire King, aka , is one of the soap’s most beloved villains. First causing chaos back in 1989 until 1999, she made a shock return back in 2018.

The actress is said to earn £230,000 a year in the soap, and also reportedly has a huge net worth of £4.7million.
Bill Roache has broken records with his portrayal as Ken Barlow

This one won’t be a surprise, as William Roache has been on the famous cobbles since 1960, making him one of the soap’s last original stars as Ken Barlow.
After landing in the Guinness Book of World Records for achieving longest-serving male television star in a continuous role, it is no surprise he has made some serious money.
Bill, 91, reportedly makes a whopping £250k, making him the highest paid soap star of them all.
He is said to have a net worth of £3.9million, but is reportedly facing money woes, as gave him three months to pay an outstanding tax debt in March 2024.
However, he was spared bankruptcy as a a judge reportedly agreed to adjourn the bankruptcy petition at a hearing in March to “allow for the sale of property”.
