In an interview in Cape Town last year, described the past year as “brutal” and as he dealt with both his wife and father having cancer.Looking at the care the family has for one another, it is difficult for royal fans to imagine there was once a brief moment Kate and William were not together.However, the Channel 5 documentary, explains one moment when ended his relationship with Kate in April 2007.Queen Elizabeth II’s former press secretary, Dickie Arbiter described Kate “as stoic as ever”, during this time. He said: “She wasn’t going to let that little blip interfere with her life, she was going to carry on and hang on to her anger. She went out on dates and she went to parties.”Meanwhile, William was missing Kate. Grant Harrold, a former royal butler to King Charles, said: “He was quite sad at that time and a bit lonely.”
He added: “Everybody loved Kate being around. It was always fun and jokey. We used to sit with William and Kate in the kitchen and it was always really good fun hanging out with them – suddenly all that changed.”
