The Masked Singer returned last week
returned with a bang as 12 new celebrities took to the stage last week.
The sixth series saw the debut of new characters – Teeth, Snail, Tattoo, Kingfisher, Spag Bol and Dressed Crab – who battled it out to remain in the competition.
They were followed by Pufferfish, Bush, Wolf, Pegasus, Toad in the Hole and Bear during Sunday’s episode (January 5).
Host Joel Dommett was joined by judges Mo Gilligan, , Jonathan Ross and Rita Ora’s replacement Maya Jama, who all attempted to work out which celebrity was behind the disguise using a number of clues.
Spag Bowl was revealed as broadcaster during the show’s launch, while star Dame Prue Leith was behind the mask of Pegasus.
But which stars are behind the other masks? Here, Express Online takes a look at the different possibilities.
Teeth
Teeth belted out their own rendition of Amarillo by Tony Christie during their first performance
Teeth gave a thrilling first performance of Amarillo by Tony Christie and divided the panel over which person was tucked away behind the giant dentures.
The character gave several hints about their identity, saying: “Wind me up and watch me go. I just can’t stop! You can probably tell I’m a bit of a big mouth”, adding: “Lads, lads, lads.”
Teeth also said they were trying not to put their big foot in it and confessed to biting off more than they could chew.
Binoculars were included in their VT and their riddle was: “I’ve been schooled in variety, I have lots in the mix, the way I perform knocks the audience for six.”
Those tipped to be behind the mask are star Rylan Clark, comedian Rob Beckett and footballer Alan Shearer and Alan Carr. Former England footballer Alex Scott was mentioned alongside boxer Nicola Adams.

Snail
Some believe Cheryl is behind the Snail mask
Belting out Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter, Snail left the judges torn about their identity.
They were convinced that several items in the VT, including a Welcome Home tag, an old school uniform, and a Chivalry & Etiquette book were hints at the identity of a singer.
Snail’s VT featured a Bridgerton-style opening as they began with: ”Dearest gentle Masked Singer viewers…”
Other clues presented to the audience were a baby doll in a basket, a tie and boater hat, two rings and the quote: “Are you wondering what scandalous secrets I might reveal?”
After hearing Snail’s set of clues, Davina predicted Emma Willis was wearing the costume while Jonathan speculated that it was Dame .
Fans predicted that former star Cheryl is behind the mask, with other guesses included TV presenter Jenny Bond, Spice Girls star Emma Bunton and theatre performer Amber Davies.
Tattoo
Tattoo left everyone puzzled about their identity
After wowing the audience with their first performance, Tattoo left everyone puzzled after dropping a series of mysterious clues about their identity.
A Robin Hood hat appeared in their VT, as well as a rabbit with a horseshoe and a four-leaf clover. Meanwhile a framed photo of Natalie Appleton next to a fishnet stocking was featured.
Tattoo could be heard saying: “I’ve always followed my heart when it comes to my career,” while their riddle was: “If you want a tattoo, then you surely have heard, you can’t beat a loved one with one special word.”
Davina suggested star Jessie Wallace, guest judge Mo Farah mentioned Cheryl, while Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu was also thrown into the mix.
Emma Bunton was named amongst guesses once again as well as singer Paloma Faith.
Kingfisher
Fans believe Simon Farnaby is performing as Kingfisher
For their first performance, Kingfisher sang The Rainbow Connection from The Muppet Movie.
The character’s hints so far include an East End accent, dog treats, a blue fish, a net and a radio. There was also a tag with the name ‘Harry’ on it and a road map from A to B.
Sharing more clues, Kingfisher quipped: “There’s nothing better than a nice, relaxing day down by the water,” adding: “I have caught a prince or two in my time.”
Their riddle was: “Fishing and planting, digging and mowing, to reap the rewards, you’d better get sowing.”
Guesses included former footballer and manager Harry Redknapp, Welsh actor Paul Whitehouse and broadcaster . Fans are convinced that children’s TV star is the voice of Kingfisher, while others suggested Harry Hill.

Dressed Crab
Dressed Crab left the panel scratching their heads about who is behind the mask
Dressed Crab belted out their own rendition of Lean on Me, which left the panel scratching their heads about who is behind the mask.
Hinting at who they are, the character said: “Welcome to my world darlings, you like my aesthetic? I’m going for crab, dressed crab, it’s a look that never goes out of fashion. Good style can make anybody feel like a somebody.”
The character continued: “Just marvel at some of my creations, my work has lit up the UK.”But I’m not just about the material things in life. I’ve scuttled all over the blue planet and now I’m here on The Masked Singer stage, ready to crab hold of the competition with both incisors.”
An American football helmet, gold coins, film roll and an NDA contract featured in Dressed Crab’s VT.
Billie Porter, Jamie Foxx, The Weeknd, Tom Daley, Gregory Porter were all amongst guesses.
Pufferfish
Who is behind the Pufferfish mask?
During the second episode, Pufferfish performed Chappell Roan’s tune Good Luck, Babe!.
Hints included a pair of dice that landed on a five and six, an American football, a rubber spider on a hairbrush and the line “The Empire State is just too hard to miss out on.”
Pufferfish added: “I’m a speedy learner and it runs in the family too” alongside their riddle: “Being puffed up all day can feel so excessive, sometimes being small is just as impressive.”
The judges believe Pufferfish is someone that has a musical background as guesses included Britney Spears’ younger sister Jamie-Lynn Spears, singer Alicia Keys, TV personality Kelly Osbourne and Loose Women star Stacey Solomon.
Bush
Bush performed Wake Up Boo by The Boo Radleys
Bush made their debut during Sunday’s episode and performed Wake Up Boo by The Boo Radleys.
Bush dropped several clues ahead of their first appearance, revealing they are determined to show they aren’t a “coward” and they like the outdoors and gardening.
Bush also likes to “stage manage” where the plants go and holds a “Best Bush in Show” trophy.
The character also shared the riddle: “I’ve been training for years, and there’s no turning back.”
Guest judge suggested former Ground Force host is behind the mask, while others suggested it could be Billie Piper or Stacey Solomon.
Meanwhile fans believed star Natalie Cassidy is disguised as Bush.
Wolf
Wolf’s VT featured a bishop and imagery of multi-coloured bowling pins and a bal
Fans have been speculating who is behind the mask of Wolf since they performed the David Bowie hit Let’s Dance.
A number of clues about Wolf’s identity have been given, including a T-shirt with “Wolf Pack” written on it, mentions of “good foundations” keeping a roof over your head.
Featured in the VT was a bishop and imagery of multi-coloured bowling pins and a ball.
Sharing another hint, Wolf said: “You wanna know more about little old me, if the three little pigs had listened to my advice no huffing or puffing would’ve blown those houses down.”
Their riddle was: “As a wolf, I’ve held dominion over everything I see, wild woods, creek or cave, that’s my territory.”
Maya guessed Wolf’s identity as Location, Location, Location host Phil Spencer, while Jonathan shared three big names; actor David Tennant, Neighbours star Jason Donovan, and musician Paul Weller.
Many fans believed Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow is behind the disguise, while others think it could be Martin Fry.
Toad in the Hole
Toad in the Hole sang a rendition of the Amy Winehouse hit Valerie
Toad in the Hole sang a rendition of Amy Winehouse’s Valerie, with the judges complementing their “beautiful voice”. Although they could agree on Toad’s stellar performance, they didn’t share the same opinions of who was behind the elaborate disguise.
Toad quipped: “Plenty of me to go around. I’m very versatile and I’m ready to show everyone on The Masked Singer. Always wanted to write my own destiny”.
The word “sizzle” was shown in their VT, while their riddle was: “Sometimes there are masses of people to feed, so I get extra help, my priority is speed.”
Guesses included Olympic gold medallist Jessica Ennis-Hill, ex-radio 1 DJ Annie Mac and American R&B and soul singer Macy Gray, who appeared on The Masked Singer US in 2023.
Bear
Could Gordon Ramsay be hiding behind the Bear mask?
Wearing an incredible disguise, Bear sang a cover of ‘You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two’ from the musical Oliver!
The character immediately hinted at a background in theatre, with several references to performing and good luck wishes included in their VTs like a horseshoe and “break a leg” sign.
Bear quipped: “The stage is set, the audience awaits, and I am hungry for the competition” before revealing they were in the West End as a “cub”.
A number of globes featured in their VT as well as a coffee cup.
Their riddle was: “I’m walking the stage and displaying my toil, but I’m also at home amongst flowers and soil.”
Bear made a point of saying they hope to “avoid a comedy of errors”, prompting Mo to suggest comedian Tom Davis. Star Trek actor Patrick Stewart’s name was also thrown into the ring, while others speculated that it could be TV chef Gordon Ramsay.
Other suggestions included I’m A Celebrity winner Christopher Biggins and Gardeners’ World host Monty Don.
