So if you have any leftovers and have no plans on drinking it soon, this can be your holy grail for homemade cleaning solutions.
According to cleaning service vodka can be used, alongside rubbing alcohol, and even white wine, can be used for stain removal.
Greg Shephard, the owner of Dallas Maids, said: “First blot the stain. Second, pour any type of clear alcohol (rubbing alcohol, vodka, white wine) onto the stain.
“This is better than any over the counter product.”
Appliance experts also agree. They advised having a spray bottle of vodka and water solution to help clean up stains.
They said: “If you’re dealing with tough stains such as those caused by grease and blood, use neat vodka. Give it a couple hours of contact time, and then blot it up with a microfibre cloth.”

They suggest laying a vodka-soaked rag on top of the stained area for several minutes so it has enough time to work.
After that, remove the rag and let the spot air dry.
