To help get your oven , the cleaning experts at Good Food shared a surefire way to banish grime without using harsh chemicals.
Good Food wrote in a post from earlier this month: “Is your oven in need of a little TLC after all that Christmas cooking? Try this eco-friendly cleaning hack using and white vinegar.”
They said: “Forget the harsh chemicals, we’re using a safe, eco-friendly method with just baking soda and vinegar.
Mix baking soda with some water to get the consistency of wet sand
“First prep. Removing the oven door means you can better access the oven cavity.
“We recommend giving the inside of the oven a good wipe down to remove surface level grime. Remove all the racks and the oven trays.”
To complete the cleaning hack, you’ll need a pot or bowl to create the solution.
They explained: “Mix baking soda with water to form a thick paste. You’re looking for the consistency of wet sand.
“Spread the paste all over the inside of your oven, avoiding the heating elements. Let it sit for 12 to 24 hours to loosen grime and grease.

“Finish by spraying a 50/50 water and vinegar solution to remove any residue and give a streak-free shine.
“Using wire wool and a little bit of elbow grease. Scrub the racks. These should become nice and clean very easily.”
The result? A sparkling oven without using harsh chemicals that is ready for all your 2025 cooking adventures.
