Severe delays were reported on the M6 today
The M6 in Staffordshire has one lane closed northbound between J6 (Birmingham A38, Aston Expressway) and J7 (Great Barr A34).
This follows an earlier incident also on the M6 between J15 Hanchurch Interchange (Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme A500) and J16 Bartomley Interchange (Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe, Nantwich, Chester A500) following a collision, National Highways said on January 10.
The partial closure has sparked severe delays, with now 30 minute delays expected to be added to journeys and a four mile queue.
Emergency services were in attendance at the scene earlier today following a collision, National Highways said, as were Traffic Officers of the organisation to help assist with traffic.
