Earlier this month, a scene depicted Joe in his room at the B&B appearing unwell. Seemingly in discomfort, he hastily searched through his bag, scattering packets of pills onto the bed before taking the medication he needed.

Since then, his actions have raised eyebrows among viewers. Last week, he requested painkillers from Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), leaving Kim worried.

In a recent twist on Wednesday’s episode (January 8), “” may have subtly revealed the true nature of Joe’s mysterious condition. The episode saw viewers raising eyebrows as actor Ned seemingly flubbed his lines during a scene with Billy Fletcher (played by Jay Kontzle).

Joe said to Billy: “First she [Dawn] accuses Kim, now she’s pointing the finger at me.”

However, sharp fans noted that this line should have been reversed since upon Joe’s return to the show, it was Dawn who initially suspected him in connection with her father Will’s death, not Kim.

Yet, some eagle-eyed enthusiasts are suggesting this wasn’t an error but rather a deliberate ‘hint’ about Joe’s health. On an fan page on Facebook, a viewer questioned: “Did Joe get the lines wrong??”

Theories abounded in the comments section, with one fan speculating: “I noticed that, thought it was strange. I wonder if he has a brain tumour or something?”

Another chimed in: “Yes I think he has an illness going on, maybe a brain tumour. If it was the wrong line they would have retaken it, I think it was made too obvious so we would pick up on it.”

A third concurred: “He’s got brain issues so was meant on purpose I think.” Meanwhile, another suggested: “Or Alzheimer’s maybe? “.
