However, one video in particular seemed to split his audience with some commenting “nah, Simon, you’ve gone too far love.” The video in question suggests those who want to keep warm during the winter months have a simple solution – their own wee.
“This might repulse some of you,” Simon admits in the video, “but, here is something you can do to stay warm when gardening. Simply pop into the shed with a plastic bottle and wee into the bottle.
“The bottle of wee will stay warm for ages. Tuck the warm bottle of wee inside your coat pocket – or into a trouser pocket and it will keep you cosy and warm in the garden. Thankfully, there is an inexhaustible supply of this warm, free liquid.

“When the wee turns cold, just add it to the compost. Just make sure to tighten the lid before putting it in your pocket!”
Simon’s video, which is aptly set the Frozen theme tune ‘Let It Go’, adds that this method if free and inexpensive compared to purchasing hot water bottles and doesn’t require you to boil a kettle – an option not available if you’re on an allotment.
Other viewers admitted it wasn’t the kind of tip you see featured on Gardener’s World but that they might well give it a go.
