Arsenal are in line for a cash boost as Mika Biereth is closing in on a move from Sturm Graz to Monaco. The Gunners sold the 21-year-old striker to the Austrian club last summer when Edu still worked as sporting director at the Emirates Stadium.

Edu reportedly inserted a sell-on clause into the deal before the £4million transfer went ahead.

And Biereth appears to have done enough to secure another move half a season later after bagging 14 goals and five assists this season.

landed Biereth from the Fulham academy in 2019 and later shipped him out on loan to RKC Waalwijk and Motherwell.

He enjoyed a temporary spell with Sturm Graz during the second half of last season, with the Austrian club then opting to make the move permanent in the summer.

The 21-year-old has been prolific for his current employers and is the top scorer in the Austrian Bundesliga this season after notching 11 league goals.
