West Ham United have announced the appointment of Graham Potter as the club’s new head coach.
The Hammers sacked Julen Lopetegui earlier this week and have moved quickly to secure his successor.
A statement read: “The 49-year-old joins the Hammers on a two-and-a-half year contract and will take charge of his new team for the first time when the Irons travel to Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round on Friday evening.”
Potter is back in work for the first time since his sacking in April 2023.

Man City working on £120m triple transfer
are working to heavily bolster ‘s squad this month.
According to , the champions are progressing in negotiations to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush and Lens centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov.
Marmoush, 25, has been one of the stars of the Bundesliga this season and could be signed for around £50m.
Meanwhile, Khusanov, a 20-year-old Uzbekistan international, is available for a fee in the region of £35m.
