Max George has shared a glimpse into his recovery routine following after spending weeks in hospital over the Christmas period after doctors discovered an irregularity with his heart.
Following successful surgery and , he was finally , where he was cared for by his actress girlfriend Maisie Smith, 23.
In a recent post, Max shared a photo of himself slowly walking on a treadmill, before turning the camera to his face to give fans a reassuring thumbs up.
Despite being shirtless and wearing large headphones, he appeared positive as he worked to regain his pre-surgery fitness levels.
This comes as, Max is set to as Maisie must return to her work commitments. The former star is currently performing in a pantomime in Canterbury, which still has several weeks left to run.

As a result, Maisie will have to leave Max’s side temporarily and accoring to a source via : “Max’s mum decided to move in with him for a bit to make sure he is OK and look after him,” reports .
“It’s been a really difficult time, and it’s just unfortunate that Maisie still has work commitments.”
As 2024 drew to a close, The Wanted star shared a series of photos from the year, including him performing on stage, showing off his surgery scar, cuddling with Maisie, and a snapshot from his hospital bed.
Taking to the caption, Max reflected on his difficult year and shared his hopes for 2025.

Max emotionally wrote: “2024.. Certainly a year I won’t forget! So lucky to have the life that I have. I can’t wait for the next chapter, no matter what challenges lie ahead. I wish everyone an amazing night tonight.. and that 2025 brings you good health and the best year!”
While in hospital, Max informed his fans about a “block” in his heart and revealed that his operation lasted approximately 2 and a half hours. He posted a photo displaying a scar on his collarbone, situated just below a tattoo of his late bandmate Tom Parker’s date of birth.
Announcing the news of his pacemaker last month, the 36-year-old penned: “Say hello to my little friend! Given the last 10 days, this is the best Christmas present I could have ever wished for. Pacemaker is in.
“Operation took around 2 and half hours. The main issue being some of my veins had collapsed where the wires were meant to go… But the hospital surgeons, doctors and nurses at the NHS have been incredible. I owe everything to them.
“The surgeon kindly put my pacemaker just underneath a very special tattoo of mine.. So I’m sure it’s being looked after. Few more tests to do due to inflamed lymph nodes on my lungs, but that’ll be easy work!
“Time to rest and then tackle life full on once again. Thank you for all your support. It’s meant a hell of a lot to myself and my family,” Max concluded.
