Lily Allen breaks down in tears as she issues five-word statement on David Harbour split

Lily Allen has opened up about her personal struggles and confirmed her during a revealing podcast appearance.

The 39-year-old singer, who co-hosts the podcast with Miquita Oliver, candidly shared her experiences of navigating a difficult period. Speaking about her recent emotional turmoil, she explained how she felt she had been spiralling.

Lily allegedly discovered the Stranger Things actor on the celebrity dating app Raya. During Thursday’s podcast episode, the mother-of-two admitted to being “not in a good place” as she recounted a trip to Kenya with David, 49, where she struggled to even say the word “husband”.

She spoke at length about the toll it had taken on her mental state, revealing that she had been suffering from panic attacks and was consumed by feelings of distress. “I’m finding it hard to be interested in anything, I’m really not in a good place,” she shared.

“I know I’ve been talking about it for months but I’ve been spiralling and spiralling. It’s got out of control, I’ve tried. I came to the Miss Me? Christmas lunch and had a panic attack and had to go home and then I went to see something at the theatre the other night with my friends and I had to leave at half time.

“I can’t concentrate on anything except the pain I’m going through. It’s really hard.” Lily went on to explain how her daughters, Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11, whom she shares with ex-husband Sam Cooper, have been a steady source of support through these tough times.

“I can say, it’s really tough – they are always there and you have to be present and there for them,” she said. “And that’s okay, when things in life are going well and you’re coping, it’s really nice to have the kids around, they’re a joy.

“One of the main sources of joy in one’s life. But when things are not going so well and life is tough, as it is for many people for all manner of reasons, having to hold things together is really hard.”

Despite the challenges, Lily added that her daughters have helped create a strong support system. “Yeah, we are a support network for each other and encourage each other to talk about our feelings, but I think the main thing is telling them we’re going to get through it and be fine.”

In the midst of her struggles, Lily reassured her listeners that she was not seeking treatment for substance issues, despite online speculation.

“I’m going away next week for a few weeks, listeners, but I do want to reassure people because there will be speculation because of the amount of time I’m going to be taking away that I’m going to drug rehab – I’ve not, I’ve not relapsed,” she clarified.

In an earlier segment, Lily revealed her methodical approach to uncovering the truth behind David’s alleged infidelity. After suspecting he was seeing other women, Lily said she re-joined the dating app Raya, where she and had initially met, and created a false profile posing as someone “looking for women.”

She claimed she had discovered he had been active on the app and had even set up a profile, which had been live for over a month. A source shared that Lily’s investigation involved cross-referencing women on Raya with those David followed on “to try to figure out who he was seeing. She was doing her Wagatha thing.”

The term “Wagatha Christie” refers to WAG to expose Rebekah Vardy as the source of leaked stories about her.

Lily’s suspicions were confirmed when she found David’s profile, which listed him as “visiting New York from Atlanta” and “closet nerd that plays tough guys on your TV.”

It was revealed he had a house in Atlanta, where he had been living part-time to be closer to the Stranger Things set, even though the couple’s main residence was in Brooklyn.

Sources close to Lily claim she was devastated by the discovery. “Lily only rejoined Raya to try to figure out whether he was seeing someone,” an insider explained. “Lily has never even looked at anyone since she met David. She is devastated. He broke up with Lily a month ago.”
