“I purchased this as a back up just in case power goes down for an extended time to keep my food in the refrigerator from spoiling. I have fully charged it and done one test with my fridge and it worked fine but I don’t think it will last as long as advertised as it appears mine uses more energy than listed by a little bit. Quality of build seems great and for me the only two drawbacks I have found so far is the cord for solar panel included with purchase should be much longer to be useful and the panel itself is rather heavy but like I said, it seems well made. “NO MORE FREAKING OUT during power outages. The UPS gives us 4 hours of backup for my wife’s Oxygen Concentrator. This should be plenty of time to get our stubborn generator going. “The Anker C1000 power station has powered my K-Cup coffee maker rated at 1400 watts effortlessly. Also tested with oil filled space heater in bedroom which runs at 600 or 1500 watts and it heated up quickly set at the maximum. However due to the C1000 1056 watt hour rating the heater would run about 3/4 hour at most. On the other hand my dual control king sized electric mattress pads would go all night as they only draw 300 watts max with both sides but like a refrigerator it doesn’t run continuously thus the extended time. Same can be said for the oil filled heater. Finally it will power my refrigerator (also runs intermittently) for a good 12-24 hours during a power failure as long as the door is not regularly opened to look at the menu. In sum this battery’s light weight would make it a perfect companion to a “go bag”/camping trip while also easily powering a 20 cubic foot refrigerator all night or longer during a power outage. Coupled with it’s solar charging capability it’s a very nice emergency power source.” — whmitty
“Bought one of these in case I needed it during a tropical storm/hurricane. Didn’t take long to need one. Ran the fridge with no issues. It also ran the garage door motor smoothly. If you buy one, definitely get the BP1000 battery. Some fridges will constantly run at 130W (the one I was powering did) and that will get you 11 hours in total. Cut the time in half without the BP1000. The other thing to note, if you are charging it with a gas generator/inverter (Ryobi RYI2200 for example), you will have to ground the generator for it to work. Most generators have a grounding lug. C1000 will charge in just over an hour at 1000 watts. If you get the BP1000, it will charge at the same speed but after the C1000 is finished charging. I highly recommend this!” — Gregg Cesaroni
“Tested it out for use with my Sump Pump by Flushing my Hot Water Tank into my Sump and letting it cycle On/Off for about 15 minutes and the Anker Power Bank didn’t even break a sweat.
