Kettle limescale disappears like magic with 1 natural item that is better than vinegar

If the bottom of your kettle is starting to look foul and stained then you are likely dealing with limescale build-up, but it is very easy to clean away using one kitchen ingredient.

While limescale is harmless, it can cause white flakes to appear in your cup of tea or coffee and, if not cleaned, make your beverages taste much more bitter

The natural acid in lemon juice will react to the alkaline minerals in limescale to break them down, so they will naturally rinse away without having to scrub your kettle for ages. 

You can also use white vinegar if you prefer, but vinegar has a strong, pungent taste, and the smell can linger even after rinsing out your kettle.  

Lemon juice works just as well to dissolve limescale and washes away better, so you do not have to spend ages washing your kettle after removing the stains. 

How to remove limescale stains from your kettle using lemon juice  

All you need to do is pour roughly 500ml of water into your kettle so the appliance is filled halfway.

Add the juice of one lemon to the water, then boil the mixture. 

Turn off your kettle and leave it alone to allow the lemon juice solution to break down the limescale. 

After 20 to 30 minutes have passed, pour the lemon juice water down the sink 

Rinse your kettle with fresh cold water and your kettle should now be completely descaled and limescale-free.
