Harrowing Photos Show Scale And Destruction Of California Wildfires

Apocalyptic images captured in the area of multiple Southern California wildfires showed their scale and devastation as firefighters continued to battle the blazes, which have led to the evacuation of tens of thousands of residents since Tuesday and left hundreds of thousands without power. Authorities reported that at least two people had died by Wednesday morning as the fires continued to spread amid high winds.

The latest images showed destroyed homes from the Palisades Fire in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. They also captured scenes from the Eaton Fire, which has spread through Altadena and Pasadena.
