Anthony Scaramucci said he “really likes” the Taylor Swift song “Cassandra” during a comedic interview posted to TikTok on Tuesday.
Scaramucci, who was former President Donald Trump’s communications director for 10 days in 2017, was discussing karma with Zoe Larkin, a Yale graduate who conducted the interview, when she asked him if he related to Swift’s song “Karma.” Scaramucci wasn’t familiar with it even after Larkin sang a snippet, but it led him to reveal that he “really” likes the song “Cassandra” by Swift.
“The goddesses said to Cassandra, ‘You will have clairvoyance, you will be able to see the future, but you’ll also be cursed with that no one will believe you,’” Scaramucci said.
He went on to explain that Cassandra, a princess in Greek mythology who was cursed to have her prophecies go unheard, went to her father to tell him that thousands of ships were coming to destroy their city.
Larkin interrupted Scaramucci to tell him about her own prophecy.
“That’s sort of like when I told everyone that skinny jeans would come back and they didn’t believe me,” Larkin said.
“Right,” Scaramucci said. “People don’t like the truth, see?”
He continued: “What Homer was trying to teach, through the fictional character of Cassandra, is that none of us like the truth.”

Larkin, who appears as her alter ego Bjorn Riche in the series, told HuffPost that the interview was recorded May 15 as part of her comedic interview series called The Happiness Project. For the project, she’s interviewed individuals including author Zoe Chance, psychologist Steven Pinker and Olympic gymnast Laura Zeng.
During Scaramucci’s interview with Larkin, he called Trump a “crazy person and an asshole,” said that Trump doesn’t have any friends, and called Steve Bannon, Trump’s former chief strategist, a “really bad person.”
