For many of us, the miracle of online shopping means we get far more each week than previous generations would have had over a whole month. It’s all well and good until we miss an important delivery, either because we weren’t in earshot of the front door.
If you don’t have a doorbell wired in, or it’s long since given up the ghost, you need not go to the trouble of calling an electrician. A simple wireless doorbell is flying off the shelves at Amazon as a bestselling product and more than 3,000 people bought it last month.
The ‘ is now £15.99 down from £19.89 at Amazon and you can get it up and running within minutes of its arrival. It’s available in black or white, although the white option is at a slightly higher premium of £16.99. Opting for a rival would set you back £99 for the 2024 Wireless model, but it seems many are picking this cheaper, less swanky, alternative.
This waterproof doorbell is battery-powered and can be easily and firmly adhered in seconds to your front door. Its receiver has a range of up to 300m, so you can stick it anywhere you like in the house, and it features 58 different tones to choose from.

There are five volume settings, ranging from 0 to 120 decibels, and the receiver will flash when the doorbell is pressed which is another great feature. Its CR2032 lithium battery should last for around three years before replacement, and its IP55 waterproof rating should prevent moisture from having its wicked way with the circuitry.
Amazon customers have had little to complain about, with a massive 4.6 out of 5 stars averaged across over 11,000 reviews so far. “Super easy to install, just peel and stick and plug in the receiver,” began one five-star review. “It’s nice and loud and the blue ring light on the doorbell is a useful addition to let callers know it’s working.”
“Very good value for money, and easy to use and install as wiring is not needed,” said another five-star review. “It sticks on and stays on perfectly. A very functional and great quality product with many different sounds available.”
Another added: “The doorbell is easy to set up and works well if you use the factory settings. The little instruction booklet is so confusing though if you want to change the ring tones! But, a bit of application and it can be worked out.”
