Shoppers in London can get their hands on the deal
To claim the deal, shoppers need to visit the retailer’s website and pay at the gates or self-checkout using the Amazon app. This makes Amazon’s meal deal the cheapest on the market currently, compared to Tesco’s meal deal which costs £3.60 with a Clubcard, or £4 without.
Sainsbury’s offers three meal deal options priced at £3.75, £5, and £7, while Asda provides the cheapest of three items across its food-to-go range for free.
Morrisons’ meal deal is set at £3.50, and Boots’ is £3.60 with an Advantage Card. Waitrose has a meal deal priced at £5, which includes a main, a snack, and a drink. The Co-op’s meal deal costs £4 for regular customers and £3.50 for Co-op members.
The deal is available until January 31
It comes as Tesco has teamed up with Itsu, which is known for Asian food and offers sushi, noodles, and dumplings on its menu.
Tesco customers can enjoy the Itsu dragon sushi range as part of its £5 meal deal range and was available from October last year. The dragon roll sushi range will see each item come with a mayo sachet, soy sauce and a mini pot complete with crunchy tempura pieces.
Tesco isn’t the first supermarket to collaborate with Itsu. Sainsbury’s has been stocking items of the chain restaurant in its stores as part of a wider range. Some of the items include the chicken big bao, the chicken ramen and the chicken and spring onion gyoza.
