Subway introduces ‘Meal of the Day’ deal and two new sandwiches

America’s largest sandwich chain has added a new deal and new sandwiches to its already-robust menu.

On Jan. 6, Subway announced its new “Meal of the Day” deal, where customers can order one of the chain’s signature sandwiches as a value meal, seven days a week.

The Meal of the Day is available as either a six-inch sub for $6.99 or a footlong for $9.99 and comes with the choice of two cookies or a bag of chips and a small fountain drink.

The type of sandwich that comes with the meal changes daily:

Doug Fry, president of Subway North America, said in a press release that customers “shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality for an affordable price” and that the chain has “made ordering a satisfying and tasty meal a whole lot easier.”

Subway is also introducing a pair of limited-time sandwiches, both with Baja Chipotle sauce — one of the most ordered sauces on the menu.

The new Baja Bliss subs come with the choice of chicken or turkey, as well as veggies, Subway’s SubKrunch topping and Baja Chipotle sauce on Artisan Italian Bread.
