Jenna Bush Hager just announced another star has been added to the co-hosting roster for TODAY with Jenna & Friends.
While on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna on Jan. 7, Jenna revealed that Scarlett Johansson will be joining her as guest co-host during the second week of the new version of the fourth hour of TODAY, which will take place the week of Jan. 20.
“It’s Scarlett Johansson!” Jenna happily announced. “I’m so excited. Scarlett is going to be here the whole second week and she’s been amazing. We have so many fun things planned.”
Hoda echoed Jenna’s sentiments, stating that Johansson is an “amazing” choice to guest co-host on TODAY with Jenna & Friends. She added that the “Black Widow” actor and Jenna have a “great click.”
TODAY with Jenna & Friends will premiere on Jan. 13, following Hoda’s last day on TODAY on Jan. 10.
Jenna’s latest co-host announcement comes after she revealed Taraji P. Henson, Keke Palmer and Eva Longoria are the first three celebrities co-hosting with her the week of Jan. 13.
“We love these women, we’ve said we love these women. I feel like Hoda helped me manifest this. Nobody will ever fill this chair, but the three of them sure can try,” she said on the Jan. 6 episode of TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.
During that episode, Jenna also revealed the new theme song that she’ll be using on TODAY with Jenna & Friends, and when Hoda heard the song that will be replacing their current TODAY with Hoda & Jenna theme song, she got quite emotional.
“I was picturing you and how proud I’m going to be of you, walking right here from that wall to this desk with that song,” Hoda told Jenna. “It’s going to be awesome. It’s going to be amazing.”
In September, Hoda announced that she is leaving TODAY after spending nearly three decades at NBC. Hoda explained that she felt it was time for her to spend more time with her kids, Haley, 7, and Hope, 5.
“Obviously I had my kiddos late in life, and I was thinking that they deserve a bigger piece of my time pie that I have,” she said. “I feel like we only have a finite amount of time.”
