champion celebrates his 40th birthday today (January 4), and unlike his high-speed career, the athlete is seemingly in no rush to settle down.
Looking back at his dating history, Lewis has only been in one high-profile relationship with Pussycat Doll front-woman .
The pair were an item on and off for seven years before officially calling it quits in 2015.
Lewis reportedly wooed the singer after they met at the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich and made their romance public.
At the time, the duo didn’t shy away from the cameras as they attended red-carpet events together, put on loved-up appearances on holiday and made regular appearances on each other’s social media pages.

Nicole was also supportive of Lewis’ fast-paced career and was regularly spotted in the crowds during the Formula One season.
However, their relationship wasn’t smooth, as reports say they split up three times before ending things for good.
According to , their final break-up was down to his reluctance to get married, which Lewis hinted was due to his demanding schedule.
Speaking on the breakdown of another driver’s marriage, : “It’s similar to most sportsmen and women, it may be slightly different in that we are travelling as much as we are, and you are just away for crazy amounts of time.

“So that’s probably an additional weight that makes it really, really tough to hold down a good relationship, and if things aren’t quite perfect.”
In 2015, Nicole also alluded that the couple split because she “lost herself” in the relationship.
She told People Magazine: “Sometimes people stay in relationships because they get complacent because it’s comfortable for them because they don’t want to be alone.”
As for their relationship today, the judge revealed they are no longer in contact.
During a 2016 appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, she revealed: “We don’t talk, I think it’s quite natural when people separate and go their own ways.”
Today, Nicole has moved on and after they first met on X Factor: Celebrity in 2019.
Since their break-up, Lewis has not gone public with another relationship but recently admitted that he wants to find the right person and eventually become a father.
“One day [I want kids],” he told the . “I wouldn’t be able to do what I do to the level that I do it today with that.
“One of my best friends has just had a kid and I’m seeing how manic it is — and my nieces and nephew are a handful.”
He added: “There will be a time and a place for it, and I can’t wait for that part. But right now I have some work to do.”
