Elon Musk has issued a new nickname for Prime Minster Sir amid an ongoing social media spat. Replying to a post of a user sharing a video clip from GB News where Sir Keir is answering a question relating to the grooming gang scandal, Mr Musk labelled him “Squirmy Starmer”.

The ongoing social media spat was ignited after it was revealed that Labour blocked a national public inquiry into the grooming scandal.

Mr Musk has taken to X writing a string of posts to criticise major political figures who he believes were involved. He has attacked both Prime Minister Sir and safeguarding minister Jess Phillips for the Government’s handling of the scandal, accusing the PM of being “complicit in the rape of Britain”.

The video clip that the Tesla CEO responded to shows GB News’ political editor Christopher Hope posing the question to the PM: “Why don’t you order a national public inquiry to join the dots… Are you afraid it might expose failings as your role as a DPP, and that’s why says were you complicit in the rape of Britain?”

Sir Keir opened his response focusing on Mr Hope’s previous role “covering crime when [he] was DPP” adding that he had access “to all the material”, going on to insist he “changed the system”. Following this, the PM addressed the question of the inquiry, saying: “There have been a lot of reviews, including localised reviews, including into Oldham for example, the Mayor of Manchester did his review.”

He added: “This doesn’t need more consultation, it doesn’t need more research, it just needs action.”

Mr Musk was quick to respond after the PM also accused people of “spreading lies” about grooming gangs.

Sir Keir said yesterday: “Those that are spreading lies and misinformation as far and wide as possible, they’re not interested in victims. They’re interested in themselve.

Mr Musk then reacted to Sir Keir on Monday by accusing him of being “deeply complicit in the mass rapes in exchange for votes”.

In other posts on the platform, the tech-tycoon has called for “prison for Starmer”, saying that “Starmer is complicit in the crimes”, “Starmer must go. He is [a] national embarrassment”, and “Starmer is guilty of terrible crimes against the British people”.
