While most fans had no qualms over the new presenter, many made note of Isabel’s absence as they hoped that she would make a return to GB News.

One fan wrote: “Best of luck Ellie. Will miss Isobel though, I wonder why she left?” Another added: “Love you both – but will really miss Isabel.”

“It won’t be the same without Isabel loved you both together. Bring her back,” a third demanded.

Meanwhile someone else posted: “Nice to see you survived Eamonn, but very short sighted of GB News to let Isabel and Mark leave. Ellie has potential but needs to stop pouting and lighten her application of her makeup if she wants to be taken more seriously. I know she has the qualifications, but I will miss Isabel keeping you in line!”

Don’t miss… [REACTION] [UPDATE]

“I love Ellie but Isabel was the heart of breakfast, and she kept you in check, including no doubt, straightening your tie. All the best,” one more shared.

Ellie Costello will now co-host GBN Breakfast five days a week, presenting alongside Eamonn Holmes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and with Stephen Dixon on Thursday and Friday.

Isabel has been radio silent since the news was announced on 18th December, but Eamonn wished her a sweet goodbye, penning on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Goodbye my girl.”
