Chelsea are reportedly monitoring Kobbie Mainoo’s contract situation at Manchester United, with the capital club keen to capitalise if the midfield starlet decides to leave Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old has over two years left on his current deal with United, having put pen to paper on fresh terms back in February 2023.
Mainoo caught the eye for United during the 2023/24 campaign and was rewarded with a spot in England’s Euro 2024 squad, where the Three Lions went on to reach the final.
He’s said to be held in high esteem by United and is viewed as a key part of the club’s future plans, but according to , plans to tie him down to a lucrative long-term deal have stalled.
The report suggests that if sufficient progress isn’t made on the contract front and Mainoo decides to leave for new pastures, are positioning themselves as a potential destination.
