If your current LG TV is on its last legs, there’s good news coming soon. The Korean tech firm has just confirmed the launch of its next generation of evo screens which feature some very smart upgrades. In fact, the latest models all come with a clever AI remote which recognises the voice of family members and automatically switches the recommendations to suit each person’s viewing tastes.

There’s also improved AI search which helps find things to watch faster and owners can even create unique wallpapers on the screen by using just their voice. Yes, simply ask for the sun setting on a beach and the picture on the telly should quickly transform into exactly that.

Of course, these are TVs, and LG reckons its 2025 display technology is its best yet. That means viewers will be able to enjoy brighter, sharper, and richer visuals when settling down for a boxset binge.

There’s even upgraded Brightness Booster Ultimate technology which can achieve brightness that is around three times higher than conventional models.

When it’s time for a movie, a new Filmmaker Mode has been added so you see things exactly as the director intended. This feature even accurately detects the lighting conditions of the viewing environment and automatically adjusts the picture settings.

The internal processor has also been boosted to make scrolling through settings and launching apps faster and smoother.

And AI Sound Pro technology makes sure things sound as good as they look.

Other bonus features include a 165Hz Variable Refresh Rate for better gaming, easy access to all the most popular streaming apps and smart deep-learning algorithms that analyse and refine low-resolution and low-quality images, enhancing them to a higher definition. That means everything that appears on the screen should appear pin-sharp and pixel-packed.

These screens will arrive later this year and include a OLED G5 models along with fully wireless OLED evo M5 tellies that have a separate device that can be hidden away. This then beams content from consoles and set-top boxes wirelessly so living rooms aren’t cluttered with cables.

All new LG TVs will arrive in stores later this year – pricing to come.

In an email sent to Express.co.uk, LG said, “LG Electronics today unveiled its 2025 OLED evo lineup, highlighting a range of advanced TV offerings, including the world’s first true wireless OLED evo M5, and OLED evo G5 models. With LG’s latest α (Alpha) 11 AI processor Gen21 at its core, the latest OLED evo models present unparalleled OLED picture quality with impeccable blacks, exceptional brightness and advanced processing capabilities.
