Salt is a simple yet very effective way at stopping condensation
The top comment suggested that all you need to remove condensation is salt, which will soak up any excess moisture in no time.
One woman named Dawn answered and said: “My nan used to place a bowl of salt on the window sill.”
Another user named Michelle commented: “Try putting a bowl of salt on you’re window sills you’ll see the salt take in the moisture.”
Michelle added that salt worked to keep her inlaws’ caravan free from condensation.
Salt is surprisingly effective at getting rid of condensation as it both attracts and absorbs moisture in the air.
All you need to do is fill a bowl halfway with salt and place it on your windowsill. Then once the salt becomes damp or clumpy, it will need to be replaced with fresh salt to still be effective.

However, other users had other unusual alternatives to using salt and commented that you could also use cat litter instead.

Other popular comments also suggested that you should also open windows for a little while each day to air out your room, as it will release the moist air and prevent any build-up.
Many people also said to be careful when hanging up clothes and the excess moisture is one of the worst causes of condensation in the wintertime as well.
