Prince Andrew suffers new blow as firm in charge of his investments shuts down

has hit headlines again this week after a firm managing his private investments has applied to be shut down.

The company, Urramoor Limited, has closed just a year after it was bailed out by a mystery donor in December 2023.

At the time, the donor gave £210,000 to the company which the Duke of York, 64, had significant control over.

However, this donation was clearly not enough to keep the firm above water, with the firm now submitting an application to be dissolved.

Andrew set up the investment fund under the name HRH Andrew Inverness in 2013, just 18 months after he was stripped of his UK trade envoy role over his association with paedo billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

As shown in reports, the company failed to make any profit in nine sets of accounts filed, with the company suffering majorly last year.

Documents filed last week also showed how more than £230,000 had been pulled from the prince’s Dragon’s Den-style initiative Pitch@Palace. Accounts that were lodged with Companies House on December 30 revealed that the amount of cash held fell from £454,979 to £220,990 during the financial year to March 31.

This latest blow to as a result of the firm closing comes just less than a week into the New Year, which could be a tricky one for the Duke of York.

Just last month, Andrew with the Royal Family as a result of the negative attention he could bring to the monarchy following this latest spy scandal.

He has been seen very few times in public since, with the duke believed to be keeping a low profile at his Royal Lodge Windsor home.
