John Torode’s Instagram usually features food and work related posts
presenter deviated from his usual social media posts to share a cryptic message featuring his actress wife Lisa Faulkner.
The TV chef took to his stories to share a picture of a manic looking Lisa wielding an axe. He captioned it: “Beware a scorned lady with an axe”.
The image was taken from the hit show Missing You in which Lisa stars and he tagged many people involved in the production. The post stood out in the midst of his usual content.
While Lisa features heavily on his social media it is usually in the context of their work together presenting cookery shows. Indeed his entire feed comprises work and food related posts.
It comes just weeks after his former MasterChef co-host Gregg Wallace was lambasted for remarks about “middle class women of a certain age”, which he made in regards to the ongoing investigation about allegations he behaved inappropriately.

On December 1 in an video where he addressed accusations about his behaviour on MasterChef.
Posting a clip to his stories for his 203,000 followers, Wallace – who while allegations of innappropriate behaviour are investigated – said: “Now I’ve been doing for 20 years.
“Amateur, celebrity and professional MasterChef, and I think in that time I have worked with over 4,000 contestants of all different ages, of all different backgrounds, all walks of life.
“And apparently now, I’m reading in the paper there’s been 13 complaints in that time. Now in the newspaper I can see the complaints coming from a handful of middle-class women of a certain age. Just from Celebrity MasterChef. This isn’t right.”

Just a day later he apologised for “any offence caused” by his comments. He took to his stories and said: “I want to apologise for any offence that I caused with my post yesterday, and any upset I may have caused to a lot of people.”
“I wasn’t in a good headspace when I posted it. I’ve been under a huge amount of stress, a lot of emotion. I felt very alone, under siege, yesterday when I posted it. It’s obvious to me I need to take some time out now while this investigation is underway.
“I hope you understand and I do hope you accept this apology.”
