Will Taylor Swift be at the Golden Globes?

Taylor Swift went viral at last year’s Golden Globe Awards for her reaction to a joke about her frequent appearances on-screen at NFL games, but will she be attending this year’s ceremony?

The Grammy-winning singer attended the 2024 Golden Globes after her record-setting “Eras Tour” concert film was nominated for the cinematic and box office achievement category

The 2025 Golden Globe Awards take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan 5. It’s unclear whether Swift, who is not among the nominees this year, will be attending this year’s ceremony.

The Kansas City Chiefs also face the Denver Broncos on Jan. 5 in Denver. While the singer has only missed one home game to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce this season due to a conflict with the final show on her “Eras Tour,” she missed several away games due to her touring schedule.

Whether or not Swift is in attendance, first-time host Nikki Glaser says she doesn’t plan to make any jokes about the singer in her monologue.

Glaser, a self-proclaimed Swiftie who saw the singer’s most recent tour 22 times, told Variety on Jan. 3 that Swift wouldn’t be a topic in her monologue “unless it’s a very favorable way.”

“She was at the Golden Globes last year — I would have loved for her to be in the audience this year,” she said. “I’m hoping this turns into a gig that I can do multiple times, and I can perform for her, because I’ve watched her so many times.”

Swift attended last year’s the award show donning a green sequin gown, which fans immediately linked to her “Reputation” era.

During the ceremony, she was caught on camera taking a silly selfie with Bill Hader, spotted gossiping with Selena Gomez, and joined in on a standing ovation for “Barbie” when the film won in her category.

While it doesn’t seem likely that Swift will be at the 2025 Golden Globes, her longtime best friend Selena Gomez was nominated several times.

Her nominations include best performance by a female actor in a supporting role in any motion picture for “Emilia Pérez” and best performance by a female actor in a television series (Musical or Comedy) for “Only Murders in the Building.”

Based on a teaser video shared by the Golden Globes on Instagram, Gomez will be attending the ceremony with her fiancé, Benny Blanco, as well as her co-stars and fellow nominees Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, Steve Martin, and Martin Short.

The “Wicked” cast is also represented in the attendees, including nominees Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum, and Michelle Yeoh. Kate Winslet, Angelina Jolie, Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster, Elle Fanning, Timothée Chalamet, Kylie Jenner, Cate Blanchett, and Harrison Ford are among the other celebrities set to attend.

The 2025 Golden Globes red carpet starts on Jan. 5 at 6:30 p.m. ET and lasts until 8 p.m. when the ceremony starts.
