It’s that time of year when our attention turns to the and what our 2025 resolutions will be.
Many common resolutions people take on include getting fitter or deciding to ditch a bad habit. But some famous faces have rather unusual ideas for the annual tradition.
As we approach the end of the first week of the new year, let’s see what resolutions some of the biggest stars in will be trying to keep.
When it comes to Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills, who recently took over Zoe Ball’s breakfast show, he’s spoken honestly about wanting to give up biting his nails.
The 51-year-old broadcaster previously said: “I have tried everything, I had Shellac nails done which I was told I wouldn’t be able to bite because they’re rock hard, didn’t work.

“I was told to try oregano oil because it tastes disgusting, that worked for a while but you just stink of oregano which isn’t ideal and I smelt like a herb rack.”
Hopping across the pond, Kylie Jenner revealed her special way of making sure she keeps all her resolutions every year. The 27-year-old reality star admitted she often makes them so “vague” that she can never really break them.
The business mogul explained that she uses her resolutions to “realise stuff” like life goals. Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex once revealed that she no longer makes resolutions.
On her now defunct blog The Tig, she wrote: “I often find myself wallowing in disappointment when I set a goal I can’t achieve. Of measuring each day’s triumph or failure as a benchmark of how the year is going. And at 34 years old, I’m over that.
“My New Year’s resolution is to leave room for magic. To make my plans, and be okay if they sometimes break. To set my goals, but be open to change.
“To let the magic know that there is an open-door policy with me in 2016 and that it is always welcome to join the party.” Like the former Suits star, former X Factor winner Leona Lewis doesn’t make resolutions – instead she makes “little promises” to herself.
Meanwhile, everyone favourite’s Bristolian Josie Gibson revealed that she doesn’t make her New Year’s resolutions until April. She previously revealed: “I always make so many [resolutions], but I actually make my resolutions in April, the start of spring, because then that’s the start of everything.
“I don’t really like to make my resolutions in gloomy January, I like to make my resolutions when everything starts again.”
