Luke Littler made £500k for his world title win.
will now sail beyond £100million in career earnings according to a leading sports finance expert. The 17-year-old will take home a £500k cheque from Ally Pally as well as the Sid Waddell Trophy, in the final.
, but Littler’s reaction to the announcement of his cash prize on Friday night spoke volumes as he pointedly raised his eyebrows.
And there are now likely to be ample big paydays to come with the teenage sensation tipped to go on and have a record breaking career.
Having won 10 senior PDC titles in his debut year, and captured the crown, Littler has attracted a string of high-profile sponsors. His earnings since his spectacular Ally Pally debut a year ago have reportedly surpassed £1m already, and the endorsements are likely to keep piling in after his maiden world title.
According to Dr Rob Wilson, Littler could now go on to financially mate the world’s sporting elite financially. “Littler’s earnings should be extrapolated like compound interest,” he told .
“As each year passes his prize money will increase year on year, as will his endorsement activity as his profile grows. He should comfortably earn £20m in prize money over the next 10 years.”

Wilson has also tipped Littler to follow in the footsteps of and sign a deal for a documentary series. ‘At Home with the Furys’ was a nine-part series that aired on Netflix, wit the cameras invited into the house of the former heavyweight boxing champion.
“Add to his sponsorship, the inevitable ‘at home with the Littlers’ documentary that will follow and other revenue streams and his career earnings could easily hit £100m,” he continued. “In sport no one has seen this sort of meteoric profile and earnings explosion. The likes of Ronaldo, Messi and Beckham have all exceeded these numbers, but that came later in their careers. Littler is unique.”
Littler’s exploits have been credited for inspiring a new generation to follow the sport. And his rapid rise to fame is only likely to benefit PDC chief Barry Hearn, with likely to be forced to negotiate a new bumper deal to continue showing live coverage of the PDC’s premier events.

The Warrington-based star has already spoken out at being compared to world famous football figures, admitting it was a notion he couldn’t quiet his head around. “Being compared to people like Ronaldo and Mbappe, it’s unbelievable,” he said.
“I think ‘Project Littler’ has been going on for the last year or so and I hope it continues. From what I know, there weren’t many young kids in the crowd last year but to see so many in the family section walking off stage has been really good, with most of them wearing my shirts.”
