Liverpool’s clash with Manchester United on Sunday afternoon is under threat of being postponed.
Snowfall covered Anfield and its surrounding areas overnight, with talk the fixture could be called off because of the conditions.
It’s reported there aren’t any concerns around the state of the pitch, rather the safety of fans travelling to and from the match.

New meeting scheduled for 11:45am
A new meeting between the safety group will now take place at 11:45am instead.
It’s expected a decision on the match won’t be taken until then.
City Councilu2019s Ground Safety Asvisory Group is reconvening at midday to discuss whether and can go ahead given that weather conditions may be changing. They had met at 9am.

Travel disruption could lead to postponement

A meeting with the relevant authorities was pencilled in for 9am, as a decision on whether the match will go ahead edges closer.
