‘Ginny & Georgia’ Season 3: Star Antonia Gentry teases what’s next

“Ginny & Georgia” Season 3 is officially on its way. Antonia Gentry, who stars as Ginny Miller on the show, tells TODAY.com what to expect.

“If it was even possible, and I guess it was possible, it’s even crazier,” she says. “There are even more plot twists, and there’s way more drama this season.”

With murder, embezzlement affairs and romantic dramatics already in play from previous seasons, fans can only dream of what’s in store for the next season.

Gentry didn’t give specific plot points but teased the upcoming episodes with three words: “Surprising, heart wrenching and exciting,” she says.

Gentry is looking forward to seeing audience reactions to the season.

“I’m very excited for everyone to watch and see what they all think,” she says.

When will Season 3 of ‘Ginny & Georgia’ come out?

Seasons 3 and 4 of “Ginny and Georgina” were renewed at the same time in May 2023. With the actors and writers’ strikes in 2023, filming did not begin until March 2024.

In mid-September, multiple cast members took to Instagram to celebrate the wrap of filming for Season 3.

Felix Mallard, who plays Marcus Baker on the show, posted some behindthescenes pictures and videos on Sept. 19, noting that “Season 3 of Ginny and Georgia just wrapped filming.”

“It’s bitter dipped in sweet,” he continued. “Pride wrapped in apprehension. Feeling immensely grateful to have spent such a long time working so hard with such beautiful people.”

Howey also took to Instagram, noting in her caption that Season 3 “hit a little different.”

Fellow castmates Sara Waisglass (Max Baker) and Mason Temple (Hunter Chen) also posted Instagram tributes.

In April, Gentry herself posted photos of herself with Diesel La Torraca (Austin Miller), who plays her half-brother on the show, over the years, showing how he’s grown.

While there’s no official release date for Season 3 yet, one could speculate a timeline based on past seasons production to release schedules.

Season 1 seems to have wrapped filming by December 2019 as show creator and writer Sarah Lampert posted an Instagram tribute to the cast. The first season released on Netflix over a year later in February 2021. Meanwhile, Season 2 wrapped production in April 2022, according to Lampert’s end-of-filming Instagram tribute for season two.

In 2022, Howey explained the behind-the-scenes secrets to E! News regarding some of the release timelines for Season 2, telling the outlet that the show needs to be translated into 180 different languages before release.

“That takes about four months,” she told the outlet.

Netflix has not released an official release date for season three yet.

How did Season 2 end?

Ginny and Marcus broke up not from lack of love, but because Marcus was struggling with a depressive episode. However, the pair resolved to remain friends, leaving Season 3 to explore if, and how, the couple will reconnect.

Georgia confided to her fiancé (and the mayor) Paul Randolph (Scott Porter) almostall of her dark secrets — excluding the murders she committed. She said she framed Gil, Austin’s father, for fraud and told Paul about the blackmail threats Gil was making against her. Paul took some time, but instead of breaking up, the two had a surprise wedding.

However, their first dance was interrupted by the police arresting Georgia for Tom Fuller’s murder. Georgia had killed her friend Cynthia’s husband who was in hospice, deeming it a mercy killing after hearing Cynthia confess how hard the prolonging of his death was.
