Get Disney+ for less as unknown tip cuts 16% off the price

January is here and if you have been on the lookout for a new deal, there might be a way that you can get Disney+ for a cheaper price thanks to a lesser known tip you might not know about.

Disney Plus is offering 12 months of its streaming plan for the price of 10, making it an ideal Netflix alternative and giving bingewatchers two months for free. And here’s how you can cut the price off, as long as you stick to these two plans.

the much cheaper Standard with Ads plan is exept from the offer – as it’ll only let you pay per month. And the trick is all in the price per year plan, as it cuts down the cost offering a cheaper rate for those who pay upfront.

That’s £129.90 for the Premium tariff and £89.90 for the Standard which when worked out against the pay per month rate are better value for money. Premium plan shoppers will save £24.90 all-in-all while Standard users will cut £17.98 off the price – a deal hard to ignore for simply switching how you pay.

However,  is only applicable to those who choose the upfront annual plan. If you don’t fancy paying upfront you will pay more in the long run.

Disney also provides more affordable options starting from although this does come with a few adjustments. Compared to the other packages it is lower quality (1080p Full HD instead of 4K UHD & HDR) and viewers will get interrupted by adverts. Unfortunately, this much cheaper £59.88 total plan comes with no option to split the cost even more by paying it upfront. 

Disney+ hosts a vast array of content owned by the Walt Disney Company, including classic animated films like Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, The Jungle Book, The Lion King, Sleeping Beauty. It also includes every Star Wars saga entry, which became part of Walt Disney after acquiring George Lucas’ Lucasfilm in October 2012 for $4 billion, along with exclusive new entries like the award-winning The Mandalorian, beloved animation The Bad Batch and the hugely popular Obi-Wan Kenobi.
