Myleen Klass was once attacked by teenagers
Myleene Klass has been recognised in this year’s for services to women’s health, miscarriage awareness and to charity. The star said she was “utterly shocked and surprised” to be made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
The former singer, who is mother to daughters Ava and Hero and son Apollo, has suffered four miscarriages and spoken openly about the psychological effects of baby loss on women.
Speaking about receiving the accolade, said: “When I think back to how all of this started, it all came from a very dark place, and I certainly didn’t have it in mind to become a campaigner at the time.
“Anyone that’s suffered the pain of baby loss or miscarriage, you just go into survival mode and then to have recurring miscarriages again, the only way you can see forward is just, you know, one breath at a time, one day at a time.”
In the past, the TV personality opened up on suffering an attack. The former Hear’Say singer was confronted by a group of three girls and two boys in a Bermondsey newsagent, near her south London home, back in 2015.
The singer has been listed in this year’s New Years Honours
According to her spokesman, Simon Jones, Myleene was “very shaken up” after she had chips thrown on her head and was pushed to the ground by the youths.
They then attempted to take pictures of her on their mobile phones, with one of the group members alledegly saying: “Shall I b***h slap her?”
Just before the attack, the singer helped to launch an anti-bullying website called Stop Text Bully on behalf of NCH, the children’s charity.

Mr Jones confirmed that she had reported the incident to the police, saying: “She is OK. She is very shaken up by it but she is back working today.
“The whole point of the anti-bullying campaign was to say ‘look, speak out about this’. She wants to get the message across about how important it is to report this kind of incident to the police.
“She would very much like to see these people brought to justice.”
