Alejandro Garnacho takes drastic social media action hours before Liverpool vs Man Utd

star has deactivated his X (formerly known as Twitter) account just a few hours before his side face in the .

The Argentine operated with the account called @agarnacho7 before supporters noticed that the page had been taken down and those attempting to search for it received an error message.

Garnacho has kept his page intact, though his bio now includes the message “NO TWITTER” alongside a large red cross emoji.

It remains to be seen whether Garnacho will be included from the start against , which the derby, having been excluded from the starting lineup on several occasions by .

He had reportedly been dropped from the United squad alongside over , while preparing to come off the bench against Viktoria Plzen in the .

Amorim was said to be angered after Garnacho turned his back on the head coach while receiving tactical instructions, though Garnacho’s camp insisted that it was a miscommunication and there is no rift between the pair.

Some supporters may view Garnacho’s decision as a sign of intent that he is willing to block out any outside distractions solely to focus on improving United’s form.

He has come off the bench in each of United’s last four matches, all defeats to , , and .

While the 20-year-old has , who claimed that the winger “acts like a wrong’un” and has “no chance of fulfilling” his potential at .

“I spoke last week about the example sets and I hear about Alejandro Garnacho being unhappy with the manager,” Souness wrote for the . “Can someone remind me of just who he is?

“The last time I looked he was only a 20-year-old boy. One who is only one step up, on a ten-rung ladder. Who are you? He acts like a ‘wrong ‘un’ on the football pitch and, unless he changes, he’s got no chance of fulfilling what obvious potential he has.

“Going back to my generation and before, have always had a problem in keeping players grounded.

“I never get tired of underlining the value of having good senior professionals in your dressing room but there has been a drought of real men at for over a decade now.”
