A fan of British singer-songwriter Billie Marten, South African-born Gregory Alan Isakov, and a little troupe of dreamers you may have heard of called Fleetwood Mac, she’s got a resonant voice and should easily please the friendly crowd at Black Dog Saturday afternoon before things start happily warming up next week.

Details: 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday at Black Dog (10425 82 Ave.), no charge.

Dune (1984): While Quentin Tarantino is respectfully off saying he doesn’t need to see Denis Villeneuve’s Dune because David Lynch already did it, there are a few of things about the ’80s take that outshine the modern.

Art and production design, including that cat milking machine, is one — and to be honest I think the red-headed Harkonnens are more unnerving than the bald leather ones. I also find Kyle McLachlan’s Paul Atreides had just a teeny bit more presence than Timothy Chalamet — at least in Part One.

Anyway, you really don’t have to choose!

Details: 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Metro Cinema (8712 109 St.), $14.
