Beloved British actor Martin Clunes, famed for his roles in and Men Behaving Badly, has impressed fans with his dramatic , dropping three stone in a mere three months.

The 63-year-old star looked visibly trimmer in his 2022 series Martin Clunes: Islands of the Pacific.

Clunes previously divulged his slimming secrets during an interview with MailOnline. He remarked: “I was fat and while I was getting heavy, I had tired knees and stuff. So, I thought I’d try that diet, and the weight came off.”

“I lost about three stone in as many months. It’s great, and it’s supposed to be good for cholesterol, too,” he continued.

Clunes credited his success to the 5:2 diet, a regimen endorsed by television personality Dr. , which involves normal eating for five days and reduced calorie intake on two ” days—500 calories for women and 600 for men, as per Healthline’s guidance.

However, Clunes revealed his own twist on the popular regimen, opting for a 6:1 version he says maintains his ideal weight without much fuss. “Now I do 6:1, and that seems to work fine,” he admits.

“I eat anything I want on the other days. It’s easy and seems to keep the weight off me.”

This variation sticks to one fasting day per week instead of two, providing a balance between discipline and indulgence.
