Massive Sky TV price shake up could stop you using your satellite dish for good

The January sales are now in full swing and has just joined the price-cut party. The firm has now officially announced its and there are some decent discounts launching this month including a blockbuster offer that features TV, Netflix and speedy broadband for just £35 per month – that’s Sky’s ‘lowest ever’ price for this bundle.

Sky now has its Stream Essential TV bundle for just £15 per month. This new package even includes full Netflix access as well as Sky Atlantic and Discovery+

If that sounds enticing then you’ll need to shake things up, switch off your Sky dish and move over to a new way of tuning in content instead.

That’s because this deal is only available to those happy to jump over to a rather than using Sky Q. For those not in the know, this device uses the web to beam shows and movies to the big screen rather than a standard over-the-air signal. That does have its advantages as Sky Stream can be DIY installed, isn’t affected by the weather and gets more upgrades pushed out to it throughout the year.

As long as you don’t mind ditching the dish you can sign up from January 7 and take advantage of this massive discount.

If you don’t want broadband, don’t forget that Sky recently launched a new Essentials TV plan that costs just £15 and includes over 100 channels, Netflix and a Stream box.

Along with slashing the price of its telly plans there is also an offer on Sky’s broadband as well. Right now, you can sign up for 150Mbps speeds – which is fast enough for most homes – and pay just £27 per month.

Once again, that’s Sky’s lowest-ever price.

Of course, Sky isn’t the only company dishing out discounts. Virgin Media has also confirmed its deals which include broadband and TV at reduced prices – in fact, there’s over £500 off some packages.

For example, Virgin’s 362Mbps broadband is now £27 per month – saving over £7.

There’s also the Biggest Combo bundle, which includes fast fibre, Sky Sports and Sky Cinema for just £69 – that’s over £30 less than usual.

You could also treat yourself to the Biggest Combo bundle with 1Gbps speeds for £73 per month – saving £30.
