has seemingly revealed the person behind April Windsor’s disappearance, and it’s not who viewers might have anticipated.
April (played by Amelia Flanagan) mysteriously disappeared from the Dales during the Christmas period, last seen entering an unfamiliar car driven by an unknown individual.
Her vanishing act followed a tense time in her relationship with Marlon, after she discovered the truth about her mother Donna’s (Verity Rushworth) death in 2014. Subsequently, April spiralled into alcohol and drug use before going missing.
Her father Marlon (Mark Charnock) has since been desperately trying to locate her, along with the rest of the village.
However, in Thursday’s episode (January 2), the plot thickened when Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), a young medical trainee, was on duty in A&E. He was taken aback by the arrival of a young woman who had been stabbed and later died, reports .

Although Jacob didn’t see the patient’s face, he found her purse and recognised it as April’s, sparking fears for her safety. He immediately alerted April’s worried parents, and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry).
But upon identifying the body, Marlon and Rhona were stunned to find that it wasn’t April but another individual. While relieved that April wasn’t dead, Marlon continued to express his concerns about her location.
enthusiasts are convinced they’ve cracked the case of April Windsor’s vanishing act. Fans have taken to social media, voicing suspicions that Anna, the family liaison officer, might be implicated in the young girl’s disappearance.

One viewer boldly declared on an Facebook fan group: “I think the liaison officer is dodgy, putting it out there! ” Another chimed in with similar unease: “I said this when she was at the hospital. Something doesn’t seem right.”
Echoing the sentiment, a third speculated: “Maybe she’s bent and took April?”
Portraying the enigmatic family liaison officer Anna is actress Rhea Bailey. She’s no stranger to soap opera drama, having previously starred in as the unhinged Caz Hammond.
During her 2015-2016 stint on the cobbles, Rhea’s character became notorious for manipulating and abusing her girlfriend Kate Connor (played by Faye Brookes), as well as menacing Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and framing Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) for a murder she faked, until her schemes were ultimately laid bare.
