BBC comedian has meltdown in airport as she screams at staff

One comedian has had a very public meltdown in a US airport.

Rachel Jackson, star of hit drama series , was captured in body cam footage screaming at police in Nashville airport, before being arrested by police on the scene in a clip from August 2023. Her identity was a mystery at the time, but now she has been identified as the writer behind Three series Bunny Boiler.

After taking a drink from a water fountain in the video, a cop told her: “Here’s what’s happening. You’re gonna stop and listen to me.”

But Rachel fumed: “No, I’m not,” and attempted to walk away. The officer hit back: “Yes you are.”

“How dare you put your hand on me,” Rachel said while the police officer tried to explain: “Here’s the thing. You’ve been denied boarding.”

“By the captain? I listen to captain’s orders, because I’ve seen ! I’ve seen Titanic. I am White Lotus, I am Titanic!” Rachel yelled, thumping her fists together. “Get your f***ing hands off me!”

The cop explained: “We are escorting you out. Get out of my face.” Rachel told him to “back the f*** off”, screaming: “Get your hands off me while I drink my water! You’ve got to be ready to go in 60 seconds.”

Rachel was then placed under arrest, told to put her hands behind her back so she could be handcuffed, with police warning her to “stop resisting”. Rachel began to frantically scream for help, swearing as she was pressed against the wall.

The -born comedian, who has also starred in Still Game, moved to the US “for love” in 2023.

In the clip, Jackson was wearing Gucci sunglasses and holding a bowl of chicken soup when she was approached by cops. She demanded $10 from them to pay for entry into a smoking lounge before she tried to board a plane to London.

She was reportedly charged with disorderly conduct and was taken to jail in a police van – but now she’s coming out with a stand-up show about her experiences.

Dubbed American Horror Story, the show – which will premiere at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival in March 2025 – follows “the award winning Scottish comedian Rachel Jackson who moved to Tennessee for love but instead lost her mind”.
